New basic science section: For this section, we are interested in quality manuscripts on the biologic research of disease processes in the lower genital tract, as well as basic and translational research on the prevention of these diseases. We encourage submission on laboratory investigations, in-vitro and ex-vivo models, animal models, and pilot data in humans. The range of topics of interest is very broad and may include human papillomavirus biology, genital tract physiology, bioactivity of a new agent for prevention or treatment of lower genital tract disease, epidemiology, molecular markers/genotyping and other basic research issues.
