Double-Tunnel Pectoral Cineplasty.

Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery - American Volume: June 1964
Archive: PDF Only

The construction of two muscle tunnels in a pectoralis major muscle and use of a specially constructed two-pin cineplasty prosthesis in a patient are recorded.

The advantages of the mechanical device are described and the reasons for failure of the tunnels to function are discussed.

The probability of increased function by linking together two tunnels, one in each pectoralis major muscle, is suggested.
