Ununited Bilateral Fatigue Fractures of the First Ribs: A CASE REPORT AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE.

Case Report

A case of bilateral acquired pseudarthrosis of the first rib, the result of bilateral fatigue fractures, is presented. This patient complained of a 'sticking' pain in the left scapular region. No symptoms were present on the right. The literature on this subject with particular reference to the origin of the defect-congenital or acquired-is reviewed.
