Eight cases of pyogenic osteomyelitis of the spine are presented in which a satisfactory clinical response was obtained with combinations of antibiotics with human gamma globulin. It is suggested that certain patients with this disease who are not responding to conventional methods of therapy may benefit from the administration of combinations of antibiotics and gamma globulin, and that prolonged maintenance therapy with antibiotics may be necessary to prevent recurrence.
