Abstract: Diabetic foot infections are common, and proper management provides optimal outcomes. This updated Infectious Diseases Society of America guideline provides new recommendations for appropriate management. Included are recommendations for appropriate classification of severity and for a multidisciplinary team approach. Most diabetic foot infections require some degree of surgical intervention.
