Geometrical Analysis of the Seated Human Body for Use in Radiation Dosage Calculations.

Abstract

The tissue thicknesses in all directions about twelve selected points in a seated human body were determined. These isothickness contours are useful in computation of absorbed dose at these points due to external omnidirectional radiations, such as space protons or hard gamma-rays. Fractional solid angles for each thickness are given for use in isotropic flux dose computations.
