In “Puerperal Group A Streptococcal Infection: Beyond Semmelweis” by B.L. Anderson (Obstet Gynecol 2014;124:874–82), there is an error in a sentence on page 878, in the first paragraph below Figure 1. The word “proscribed” was used instead of “prescribed.” The incorrect sentence reads, “The premise of the early goal-directed therapy management is that it is proscribed, and there are very specific targets for success within 3–6 hours of patient presentation.” The correct sentence is, “The premise of the early goal-directed therapy management is that it is prescribed, and there are very specific targets for success within 3–6 hours of patient presentation.” The author regrets this error.
