In “Genome-Wide Fetal Aneuploidy Detection by Maternal Plasma DNA Sequencing” by D. W. Bianchi, L. D. Platt, J. D. Goldberg, A. Z. Abuhamad, A. J. Sehnert, and R. P. Rava, on behalf of the MatErnal BLood IS Source to Accurately diagnose fetal aneuploidy (MELISSA) Study Group (Obstet Gynecol 2012;2012;119:890–901), the upper limit of the trisomy 13 confidence interval (CI) for sensitivity reported as 99.9 is incorrect. The correct upper limit is 95.3. This error occurs in three places:

* On page 890 in the Results section of the Abstract, the trisomy 13 data are incorrectly presented as “ … 11 of 14 trisomy 13 cases (sensitivity 78.6%, 95% CI 49.2–99.9) …” The correct data are: “ … 11 of 14 trisomy 13 cases (sensitivity 78.6%, 95% CI 49.2–95.3) …”

* On page 898 in Table 4, the data in the third row under the heading “95% CI” after “Sensitivity” are incorrectly presented as “49.2–99.9.” The correct CI is “49.2–95.3.”

* On page 898 in the first paragraph of the second column, the following sentence is incorrect: “Sensitivity and specificity to detect T13 in the analysis population were 78.6% (95% CI 49.2–99.9) and 100% (95% CI 99.2–100.0) (Fig. 3C).” The correct sentence is: “Sensitivity and specificity to detect T13 in the analysis population were 78.6% (95% CI 49.2–95.3) and 100% (95% CI 99.2–100.0) (Fig. 3C).”

The authors regret these errors.

There is an error in “Building a Better Safety Net: Taking the Safety Agenda to Office-Based Women's Health” by J. Sclafani, B. Levy, H. Lawrence, M. Saraco, and J. M. Cain (Obstet Gynecol 2012:120:355–9). On page 355, second column, first paragraph, this sentence is incorrect: “Forty-eight percent of medical liability claims involve care within the office setting, a risk not fully appreciated by many physicians.3” The correct sentence is: “Forty-three percent of medical liability claims involve care within the office setting, a risk not fully appreciated by many physicians.3” The authors regret this error.
