Aim of the study: The aim of the study was to investigate the feasibility of using fistulas tract as a tissue.
Materials and methods: Twelve adult patients suffering from chronic OAF were included in the study. New technique using the chronic fistulas tract as a plug to close the oroantral fistula.
Results: The surgical procedure was well tolerated by all patients. With excellent closure of the oroantral fistula, no intraoperative or postoperative complications were noted.
