Abstract

Purpose of review: The aim of this review is to look at all publications from the past 18 months, which deal with the impact of the Women's Health Initiative Trial on hormone replacement therapy.

Recent findings: There is a definite decline in the use of hormone replacement therapy among menopausal women.

Summary: More research needs to be done on the long-term effects of hormone replacement therapy, especially with regard to ultra-low dose hormone therapy.
