Off to Canada next week...
I am very privileged to be presenting at the Canadian Association of Advanced Practice Nurses (CAAPN) Biannual meeting taking place next week in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. There will be a number of presentations on the current state of the advanced practice environment in Canada. I will be very pleased to report back to you on the issues that arise there in my next blog.

My presentation will be about the implications of the APRN Consensus Model in the US for the Advanced Practice role in Canada. My curiosity is piqued as I look forward to the discussions from the Canadian APRNs and how they view the US Consensus Model. My format is to inform the audience of the document and how it is working in the US. I have a very open presentation that I hope will generate discussion and perhaps some significant insight into the process here.

Stay tuned!
