Antibiotics for Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia: How Much Is Enough?

Abstract

Synopsis: In a multicenter trial, monotherapy with meropenem was as good as combination therapy with meropenem and ciprofloxacin for ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) in patients at low risk for multidrug resistant organisms.
