Cystic adnexal lesions frequently present in premenopausal women in a typical radiology practice and often are a concern for the patient and the referring clinician. The majority of cystic adnexal masses are benign and have distinguishing ultrasound features that should be recognized by the radiologist to direct appropriate management. This CME activity will review common cystic adnexal masses and their characteristic imaging features in premenopausal women.
