Author on Call

The function of the “Author on Call” blog is to allow our readers and authors to interact with each other in a unique way. A few select authors will be chosen to share on the blog aspects of their papers that were especially meaningful to them personally or points that may not have made it into their published report. Readers will then have the opportunity to provide comments and questions, to which the authors will respond.

At times, as seen in our first entry, we will also post separate entries to the blog on various special topics that we feel would be informational or that we welcome your feedback on.

Appreciation for our reviewers

A special note of thanks to our reviewers for the pediatric theme issue of CANCER NURSING...

The Special Issue of CANCER NURSING on Pediatric Oncology is now published (Volume 36, Issue 5, September/October 2013). We recognize that this issue is the product of your remarkable review efforts. Thank you. The theme issue includes an editorial about pediatric oncology nursing research “going global”, 16 full research papers from 84 authors from 11 countries, and closes with two poems.  The papers so aptly capture the panorama of research and clinical interests in pediatric oncology such as the illness experience for children, adolescents, parents and clinicians across time, situations and illness and health conditions. Every paper gives us the promise of even better care for these individuals across time and in these situations and experiencing these conditions. Now for us to extract what is ready for clinical care and achieve the outcomes that motivate us to be researchers, scholarly reviewers and authors.  We thank you so very much for what you have given so exquisitely to this theme issue.
