The Society for Applied Immunohistochemistry was originally established as the Immunohistopathology Study Group in October of 1991 by a group of pathologists and laboratory scientists working in the field of Immunohistochemistry and was incorporated in 1993. Due to the rapid expansion over the past two decades of the application of antibodies to recognize cellular constituents in tissue sections, both in the research and diagnostic surgical laboratory, the founding members--Juan Rosai, MD, Maryann D. Gangi, B.A., Daisy Joseph, Jules Elias, Ph.D.--recognized the need for a central body to gather, discuss and disseminate new information in this area.
All portions of this site will be available to all visitors for the next three months. After that time, the meeting summaries, complete membership directory and case of the month will be available to members only.
