October Issue and Journal Club
The October issue is the second of two issues devoted to the papers presented at the 133rd meeting of the American Surgical Association. It consists of 16 original articles and the outstanding forum discussion titled "Health Care Reform: Impact on American Surgery and Related Implications " that took place during the meeting. It is a must read for all surgeons.
The October Journal Club's featured article is
"Adhesiolysis Related Morbidity in Abdominal Surgery" by ten Broek and co-authors that appeared in the July, 2013 issue of Annals of Surgery. The expert moderator is Dr. James M. Becker who is currently professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr.Becker has had a long clinical and research interest in the biology, prevention, and management of adhesions.
