February Issue and Journal Club
The February issue of Annals of Surgery contains two feature articles with accompanying editorials, three randomized controlled trials, three meta-analyses, two reviews, and an additional 16 original articles. The first feature article is a study of the sequencing of chemotherapy in patients with breast cancer and the second is an analysis of studies regarding intravenous fluid therapy in patients with acute pancreatitis.
 
The expert moderator for the February Journal Club is Dr. Caprice Greenberg, who is associate professor of surgery at the University of Wisconsin and  the director of the Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research (WiSOR) program.
 
The featured article is Do Micropauses Prevent Surgeon's Fatigue and Loss of Accuracy Associated With Prolonged Surgery? An Experimental Prospective Study by Dorion and Darveau. It appears in this issue of Annals of Surgery. This article can be accessed for free by all who wish to participate in the Journal Club.
