AJN, American Journal of Nursing:
I often read Reflections before any other article in AJN and particularly enjoyed the July column about the value of speaking to each patient with deep respect, including learning to pronounce the patient's name.
I work in long-term care, and we are now seeing patients from all over the world. One of my current patients speaks only Russian. It's a learning experience for all of us, and a joy to care for him.
