I thoroughly enjoyed this article. I'm curious: did any of the hospitals the authors surveyed relay practices or information about the verification of feeding tube placement in neonates?

Authors Shellie Robin Simons and Lisa M. Abdallah respond: This article was geared only to adult patients with a nasogastric feeding tube. However, anecdotally, we found that most hospitals had one policy that covered adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Additionally, hospitals tended to have one policy for enteral feeding, without differentiating between a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube and a nasogastric feeding tube.
