Roush, Karen MSN, RN, FNP, BC

Collapse Box

According to this study:

* Use of CPAP shortly after birth had no effect on the combined outcome of bronchopulmonary dysplasia and death.

* Infants on CPAP received surfactant half as often as intubated infants.

* Three times as many infants on CPAP developed pneumothorax, but this didn't result in negative outcomes.
