Abstract

Adrenal insufficiency often presents with generalized nonspecific symptoms that can delay diagnosis by even experienced healthcare providers. This brief review of both primary and secondary adrenal insufficiency provides a case study, an overview of adrenal disease, differential diagnoses associated with derangements common to adrenal insufficiency, current diagnostic strategies, and treatment options available.
