Learning objective: After reading this article the reader should be able to:

1. discuss research on chromium and the effect (if any) it has on body weight and body composition

2. discuss research on calcium and dairy products and the effect (if any) they have on body weight and body composition

3. identify practical and healthy ways that individuals can lose weight
