Proposing an Article
Review articles published in Exercise and Sport Sciences Reviews are typically by invitation only. The editor-in-chief will consider uninvited proposals that meet the following key criteria:
- Novel, integrated hypothesis, or model that attempts to explain an issue of interest in a manner different than that previously advanced
- Must be supported by original published research by the author(s)
The proposed article synopsis should clearly state the novel hypothesis, based upon your research (cite the references in the text). The synopsis should be at least 1/2 page, include at least three references from you/your coauthors that support the hypothesis, and be written in first-person narrative (i.e., "Our research"; "We found").
Authors interested in having their proposed article considered for possible publication should email a copy of their synopsis and brief reference list to the ESSR Editorial Office at email@example.com.
